To understand more of the successive steps of the UPR process, you may read THIS.

The UPR under the United Nations' new Human Rights Council provides for better engagement on issues among member states, their national human rights institutions (NHRIs) and non-governmental organisations.

The UPR reviews the fulfilment of each of the 192 UN member states on their human rights obligations and commitments every four years. The first UPR began this year. Malaysia will have its next year.
