Dear Khin Omar,

The Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development (FORUM-ASIA) congratulates you
for being honored as one of the 2008 Human Rights Awardees during the Vital Voices
Global Leaders Award Ceremony in Washington, D.C. on 8 April 2008.

We believe that the award is well-deserved. We have always valued your work in promoting
and protecting human rights in Burma. Your tireless work has indeed kept the international
community focused on the human rights violations in Burma. We also value your leadership
in coordinating peace-building and reconciliation for the Women’s League of Burma
(WLB). The WLB has been one of our most active partners in our regional work and we do
look forward to more opportunities of working with you in the future.

In solidarity,
